Whereas in Europe we benefit from a transportation that is unprecedented in the world, yet it has become unsustainable, many updates need to be established to make for a functioning and efficient means of transportation for people, goods, and services.
Areas of development included are well-functioning passenger and freight links that are vital for European endeavors and citizens. Transportation policies aim at fostering clean, safe and efficient travel throughout Europe, reinforcing and supporting the internal market of goods and the right of citizens to travel without constraint throughout the EU.
